Stephanie Hill has served as ORU’s Director of University Relations and Communications for nearly three years. She is responsible for cultivating relationships with local, national and international media, chambers of commerce, and other community organizations. She helps guide the university through crises. Her office is also responsible for managing the university’s numerous social media accounts. Before coming to ORU, Stephanie worked as a television journalist for nearly 30 years with a brief stint in radio news. She held numerous jobs at Tulsa’s News on 6, first as a producer then as senior producer, executive producer and finally managing editor. Stephanie also earned an Emmy Award for the station’s coverage of the 1999 Oklahoma tornadoes. Stephanie graduated from ORU in 1986 with a degree in telecommunications, studying television and radio production, journalism, and public relations. In the more than 30 years since her graduation, she has witnessed phenomenal growth in media through television and digital platforms. What media looked like in 1986 doesn’t compare to what it looks like today. Stephanie has two sons, one graduated from ORU last May and the other is currently attending ORU.
